This is an improved “Walk the Plank Mouse Trap” as seen on YouTube with Shawn Woods. Proudly hand made by me and my wife in my workshop located in Pendleton Kentucky USA. This new design is an improvement over my original design. It is more compact to work better inside your home. Since the trap is lower to the ground the ramp can be shorter. Also, it is made to keep the lid on the bucket to protect the trap from rain. This also keeps other larger animals from getting the bait. This design also gets the ramp completely inside the bucket.
The Best most effective mouse trap you can buy. I have tried lots of traps and no other trap comes close. Just read the feedback I get from this design. Simple to use mouse trap that will catch multiple rodents in one night. It dumps the mouse in the bucket and resets for the next mouse. It has a magnet that holds it steady until the mouse gets close to end of the plank. Then it dumps him in. There is an adjustment screw to adjust the weight needed to dump the trap. It comes preset to catch most mice. It will not work on rats, they are too big for this trap. We have a farm and now use these in our barns, garage and houses. I was tired of setting up multiple mouse traps every day that miss the mice most of the time and could only catch a limited number of mice each night. With this trap I just set it up and forget about it for a few days. Plus, you can just flush or dump the dead mice out and not have to touch them. The bucket is easy to wash out and clean.
To set up the trap all you need is a 5-gallon bucket & lid (BUCKET NOT INCLUDED) and a piece of wood about 12 inches long for the mice to climb up. You will need to cut a hole in the bucket for the trap. I made a 3in by 3in hole using a razor blade. Heating the bucket with heat gun or blow-dryer will soften the plastic and make it easier to cut. Place trap onto the bucket and screw the ramp to the bucket. Than fill bucket 1/3rd way with water. Add your bait to the end of plank.
