This is an economical random small assortment
of uranium
pebbles, chips, or small rocks. Various
minerals
are
represented, including
uraninite, carnotite,
coffinite,
Jurassic todilto limestone, tyuyamunite,
or meta-
tyuyamunite.
Most were gathered on
or below
the ground at Jurassic Canyon (near
Grants NM);
the others were found at Uravan
CO, or at
Lisbon Valley (near Moab) UT. All
the rocks
are natural unprocessed ore; the rock
set can
be used as a test-source for any
geiger counter
instrument. Each bag is unique,
with a
varied assortment of minerals and
activity
levels.
The clear poly bag
and its
contents must
be kept/stored
away from
children
or family pets. The poly bag’s
location is
best monitored by storing it
within
the metallic bag.  The
buyer
must
be age
21 or older.
Users should leave the
rocks sealed
inside the double poly bag;
do
NOT
open the poly bag.
Measurement of this collection of small rocks
with a sensitive pancake probe will get a reading
of 10,000 or more cpm.  Measurement with less
sensitive
probes, such as end-window or side-
window,
will yield smaller cpm numbers.
